Beyond The Mist
The rift between the land of humans and the land of the fae folk has been opened. Creatures from fable and story are making their way back into the world but their presence is not to be taken for granted. These creatures need special care and attention as they find their feet in this new and strange place we call home!
Each of the creatures to pass through the mists interacts in their own way and you'll have the very special chance to play with them all. Throw a stick for the werewolf and become part of the pack, join in with the Dryads call or dance in the footsteps of Mr Bumpity Bump the Gnome. Every experience will be a unique treasure.
The Deep
The seas can be a dangerous place, with only a fraction of what exists explored. But fear not because this team of Deep Sea Divers is out to map the oceans floor. The drag of the water around them makes them move as though in slow motion and they bob as the currents pull them to and fro.
The world seems to zip around them as they encourage the denizens of the ocean to help them on their quest, giving them directions to the local shipwrecks and reefs that they can use as landmarks and with nothing but the smallest hint of an obsession with finding treasure.
Carnival of Crazy
Lucius Von Roter-Mantel and Madam Denouement are in a constant battle of wits. Loud and Boisterous with a command of the crowds that is the envy of all, they draw a battle line in the sand as they pull anyone willing into their machinations.
Their aim is to take control of the circus, and as far as they can see that circus includes every lamppost and street bin that they lay their eyes on. Using juggling and acrobatic skills shrouded in the art of contemporary clowning they work to outdo each other at every turn and garner the support of all around.
When the final vote comes who will win out? Will the manipulation of the Ringmaster Von Roter-Mantel cause a stir or will the ultimate ends of Madam Denouement seize the day.
In this rambunctious and never ending contest, will the sun ever set on the fun.
Woking Postal Corps
Prism
Bessie and Richard are the last remnants of the Woking Postal Corps. After the Martians came to Woking they took it upon themselves, remembering the oath they swore to that sacred institution to which they are both affiliated, to continue to post those most important notices to the general public.
The population has been moved to Muster Point B and Bessie and Richard employ themselves disseminating envelopes filled with helpful advice for the survivors of the
apocalypse. Filled with cheer and gallows humour and dressed splendidly in the Woking Postal Corps uniforms they hold so dear these two stalwart employees go above and beyond in making sure everyone is as comically ‘safe’ as they can possibly be.
We’re not sure quite where they came from, but Tracy, Ricardo and Ingrid are certainly an unusual group of ‘people.’ All they will say when asked is that they’re from 'Somewhere Else' and when pushed they will insist beyond a shadow of a doubt that they’re definitely human, couldn’t be anything else.
Wonderfully naive and with a curiosity to rival anything before seen they engage in play and exploration with everything and anything they come across. Their brightly lit suits and faces convey their emotions and joy and they are nothing if not expressive, seeking at all times to engage with the world and the people around them and encourage a new perspective on the world.
Have-A-Go-Pirates
Although these pirates might look the part they haven’t really got that much experience pirating. Actually they haven’t got any, but they’re trying really hard. As they make their way through the crowded streets they practice their pillaging techniques, although being so overly critical of their own performances they never actually manage to get any pillaging done.
With their ‘Practice Pirate Ship’ and their pirate wits about them all around will want to join in the banter and help them become the true pirates that deep down they know they are.
Winnie and Warwicks Madcap Magic
Winnie the witch and Warwick the wizard are spell-casters in training and they’re after any opportunity to practice. Mind your heads as their spells zip and zing about the skies and keep an ever watchful eye on their spellbook, it holds secrets that even they sometimes aren’t aware of.
Help them collect ingredients for their magic potions but make sure you’re careful, they're not always sure what the results will be! Always with them are their magical menagerie of creatures. Colourful and strange, these critters have a life of their own.
Baffled Celts
Thrust from the distant past into the present by a mystical timewarp created by their local druid, these two traditional looking celts are slowly starting to get to grips with modern technology. That’s not to say that everything they encounter of the modern world is not either terrifying or magical.
Attempting to explain their new surroundings in terms that they understand they constantly misinterpret roadsigns for sigils, technology for magic and are continually trying to keep away from the elves that caused them to slip through time in the first place.
Age of Invention
The world has moved on, and it's all thanks to Lady Margo and Professor Gregory de Tuttlestamp!
Using nothing but the best in Victorian technology these two gloriously dressed - as is only appropriate - and extravagant inventors have in tow a plethora of their latest inventions... And they're looking for human guinea pigs!
Bringing with them devices galore of all shapes and sizes these truly mad scientists will wow with robotics and brain scanners, the wonder of electricity and steam combined!
Victorian Explorers
In the depths of the British undergrowth these two explorers still ply their trade. Lucinda McTucket and Stanley 'Trigger-Happy' Cavendish are convinced that there's more to the Great British jungle than meets the eye. Armed with their blunderbuss for safety of course, their handy box-camera 'Gertie' and an array of bizarre creatures collected on their journeys they're on the lookout for natives to pose with them for evidence to present to the Great British Explorers Association. Although always searching for oddities amongst the British fauna to take snapshots of these two plucky survivalists don't help themselves much with their constant need for tea breaks and tiffin!
Any photographs taken with 'Gertie' are freely available for download from the Strange-Twig Facebook page.
